A journal of my journey in my gr12 year

Even in the 21st century, Russia is still a country which is very conservative on LGBT issues. The law in Russia had ruled that “non-traditional sexual relations” are not allowed to be propaganda in Russia. As the Winter Olympics of 2014 holds in Russia, a huge problem is raised: the lawsuit is threatening the safety of those homosexual athletes; the situation for LGBT people in Russia is so dreadful that the athletes may not even be secured in the Olympic village! LGBT people in Russia are similar to the Jews in the 20th century Germany. Both of those two groups had the common and only crime which is the accident of their birth. Blaming gay people for their sexuality is similar to Hitler’s action in the 20th century making Jews the scapegoat! They did nothing wrong, so why should they be censured?

But then another question rises. Where should we clarify the line between guilty and not? We all know and accept that gay and Jewish people should not be condemned because they made no error. How should we consider a baby born drug-addicted? The baby had done nothing wrong, and it was just his mother who was addicted to the drug and had the symptom as the heritage to him! We all know it is illicit to take drugs; however, if the innocent, drug-addicted baby knows definitely nothing and his mother just give him drug to satisfy his drug addiction, should we criticize the child? He should be blamed because he is taking drugs, but should not because he was born that way. The line between right and wrong is so blurry that no absolute fairness can be achieved. We may never solve the problem perfectly and clearly, but as the law system of our society consummate, hopefully we can solve this kind problem more in a more appropriate way.
